I bring you a wedding that is total magic. It took place in the beautiful historic town of Antigua, Guatemala. The bride and groom are from Austin, but the bride used to live in Las Cruces, NM and her mother still lives in El Paso, so it's kind of a “local wedding”. Photographed from Dan Dalstra this gorgeous wedding is one of a kind.
“While they were engaged, Cyndie and Scott went to the small town of Antigua, Guatemala to visit Scott's sister who lives there. They immediately fell in love with the narrow cobblestone streets, historic churches, and old world charm nestled among three volcanoes. They had their ceremony on the rooftop of the Panza Verde hotel with a volcano as a spectacular backdrop for the wedding. After the ceremony, while the guests were enjoying the cocktail hour, they ran around the streets of Antigua for some romantic shots before heading back to the hotel for the reception. Cyndie and Scott finished the night with a plunge into the hotel pool to "Trash the Dress". "
"I absolutely love destination weddings because they are so intimate and very romantic with just the couple's closest friends and family. I was honored to be chosen as their photographer and in the process, I made life long friends," says Dan Dalstra.
